Riparide - laidback lily pad

From the moment I stepped out of my car I felt my heart rate slow, and my head begin to clear as that first breath of eucalyptus filled air cascaded through my lungs. It was everything I needed after the hustle and bustle of a long week in the city.

The lily pad is a cosy caravan getaway located a short distance from the beach town of Torquay. You can relax on the porch, drink in some sunshine or draw a hot bath and watch the day go by. 

Our hosts were so gracious as to greet us on our arrival with freshly baked bread and a welcoming smile. They gave us plenty of tips on things to do before leaving us to enjoy the surroundings and venture out into the wilderness. 

We headed out onto the Great Ocean Road, stopping for majestic ocean views and stunning coastal walks. After a long day at the beach and soaking in the sun, it was perfect to come home to our little slice of heaven. We chilled out on the porch, whipped up a BBQ and drew a beautiful hot bath, all while catching the sunset through the gumtrees. 

With the last light of day, we found ourselves sitting around the campfire, reflecting on all we had seen and done and watching the night sky light up with starts.
