    Sapa, the mountain paradise.

I had just arrived in Hanoi, the humidity was making the sweat pour down my nose and for some reason I just was not feeling the vibe of the place. The city was so busy, I needed to get out. I knew some pho would clear my mind, and when I walked into the nearest restaurant I made friends with a cool German lady who convinced me to go and see Sapa. The next morning I was on a bus out of the mad city and into the clean green mountainside that was Sapa. Sapa is located in the nor

Da Lat canyoning and the crazy house.

Three, two, one go! As my feet left the ground all I could think of was trying not to break my legs. Splash!! Welcome to Da Lat, one of the most exhilarating places in Vietnam. Arriving at 8am, with my new crew of 7 gangbusters we settled into Wolfpack hostel, before venturing out into town to see the architectural masterpiece that was the crazy house. Hằng Nga guesthouse, otherwise known as "Crazy house" is a sculpture design of a giant tree that is also a home for anyone wi

Ninh Binh, The Land of King Kong

Ninh Binh! Ninh Binh! Wake up! Wake up! I cracked open my eyes, Vietnamese men screaming at me, I had obviously gotten on the wrong bus, because I was supposed to arrive in the day and it was pitch black outside. The taxi drivers swarmed on me the second I hopped off the bus. I was no were near my hostel and was forced to take a taxi. I don't think I had ever seen a meter go up so fast in my life. Something shifty was going on. I had no idea if my hostel was open, but when I

The End of the road, Ha Giang

Raph is this going to be possible? We have over 12 hours of riding today, more than 200 kilometres and the worst roads to tackle. As we looked at one another we knew it wouldn't be easy, but we both said "lets do this." and it was settled. The Royal loop would take me to the edge of China and Vietnam once more, this time, it was separated by the fourth biggest waterfall in the world. Leaving Meo Vac in the dust, we sped off into the rugged terrain, the sun baking our skin as

    Ha Giang, Destination Meo Vac

As I sat sipping my extremely bitter coffee, little did I know what surprises mother nature had planned for me. The landscapes of dreams were only a short ride away. Todays destination was Meo Vac and plan was to do a quick border hop into china before reaching our destination. We started out in the wrong direction for the first half hour damn google maps had done it again, always check your maps at a fork in the road. The terrain was wet and rugged, sometimes more pot holes

Ha Giang, The Ride to China.

Waiting for my flight from Denpasar to KL airport, I began a conversation with a French Xpat who was living funnily enough in Hanoi for two years, my next destination. I asked "for some tips of what to do" when she brought up the Ha Giang loop, a motorcycle ride through the Northern most parts of Vietnam. The loop lead right to Ban Gioc Waterfall, the fourth largest waterfall in the world, something on my Vietnam bucket list. As the first day in Hanoi played out, a few more p
